I know it is hard for you all to believe but we kept our kids up past 7:30 tonight.....to go to the firework show in Sumas!! It was totally worth it! Grace fell asleep but Elliot stayed up to enjoy the show:)
The kids and I went strawberry picking at McPhails this morning. It was so much fun:) The kids each picked 4 pounds all on their own which I thought was very impressive. Elliot really wants to be a farmer when he grows up and he is always telling Grace that his farm will have this and that and they will grow all kinds of things. So this morning when we pulled up Grace says Elliot is this your farm:) Priceless!
Grandma Boat! The kids love their new jammies! Grace insisted on putting them on when we got home. I was able to handle putting her off until 4pm however then we took a bath and put them on. We road bikes to Auntie Mellys and Grace wore her new jammies pink cowboy rubber boots, and a lime green hoody. Grace is always the slave to fashion!
What a beautiful day we had today and Bubba suggested we roast weanies at Birch Bay. Afterwords we went to the C Shop for ice cream...thanks Grandpa! We missed you Mom we will bring you along next time!
I know that I already posted on Elliots party but that was his friend party and I had some more cute pics from the second party. By the way two parties later I must be honest and say that I am exhausted however Elliots happiness with both parties was very rewarding to me and made the whole thing worth it!!
So this was the first year we had a separate kid birthday party and I have to say it was a complete success! WE had a dinosaur theme this year complete with a volcano birthday cake that actually erupts. I must admit that I committed to making the cake and freaked out the night before the party because I realized I had to construct it, however it was awesome:) We had a pinata, obstacle course and squirt gun fight it was so much fun.
Well our kids are officially campers!! Camping is one of my favorite past times as a kid......and it has always been important tome to share this experience with my children. So we did the Jager way and headed down Bay View State Park with The Uncles and the Rah for a good time. Lots of fun with clamming beach combing plenty of good food and fun. The Uncles and Brian also built a drift wood fort for the kids how fun. Even Ruby got to come.
Elliots last day of preschool. This proved to be an emotional day for me. No more babies in the Jager house, they will both be in school next year. Direct quote"Next time you see me I will be a kindergartner." This is what he said as he walked out the door for school to his Dad. Where does this kid come up with this stuff.
