Things I Am Thankful For...

I am so filled with thankfulness this year it is hard to even express. This year has been full of firsts. First family vacation, first day of school, first day of preschool, riding without training wheels, riding a trike, first camping trip(s) with the kids, first year without diapers in 5 years and first time for me to have both kids in school sometimes at the same time. Some of these firsts have brought tears but all of them have brought smiles. I sometimes have felt like I am riding a bike without training wheels for the first time as I am watching both kids grow into their own little people I have to admit it is extremely hard at times to let go. I feel like everyday I am learning more and more what it means to love and to care and most of this I learn from a 3 and 5 year old. God is so good to us and he continues to bless us daily. It seems like every year is full of more and more to be thankful for I can't wait to see what God has in store for the next. I hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Spike the Turkey

Elliot had to decorate a turkey drawing for class to be displayed in the office. We started decorating him in what Elliot calls spike balls but ran out of hot glue so we finished him in glitter.

Robot girl

I helped in Elliots classroom on Monday and Grace stayed home with BJ. They raked leaves and mowed the lawn and Grace definitely earned a bath. When I got home they were on the patio cleaning out the garden and turning Grace into a robot girl! What a good daddy she has.

Sleeping

Last night Brian and I went on a double date with Luke and Bonnie. Jenna and Jessa babysat(they are great babysitters by the way). When we got home I went to check on them and retuck them in. Even now I love to see them sleeping sweetly all snuggled up. Elliot tells us now that he is a big boy and very frequently goes without his puppy Gibson. Gibson is a longtime bedtime pal that could not be lived without for quite a while. Well last night there he was so sweet ad snuggled up with his best bunkmate Gibson.

Graces Recital Tickets

Who would of thought that a 3 year olds ballet recital would be so exclusive. Anyway the recital is Saturday the 13th of December. We can only buy 10 tickets for now. They have all sorts of rules. Anyway they are $8 so the first 10 people to tell me they want tickets by Wednesday and give me their 8 dollars will get the tickets. We count as two and next priority is grandparents you know who you are. so that really leaves about 4 tickets so let me know:) Otherwise we can try and scalp some later on. Apparently after the 24th of November they will release the tickets that are left and we can buy them all up if we want. But there is no guaratee how many will be left.
