Our blog was Compromised

Someone hacked our blog with nasty comments. I am not sure who they are because they did not have the guts to leave there name. Unfortunately in two days I will be blocking our blog and will have to set permissions. If you read our blog regularly please let me know so I can set you up with a username and password. I hate doing this however it seems like the only option. And to you who decided to leave the nasty message that was extremely inappropriate and uncalled for. Thanks guys. Jess

Hospital Day #2

Last night was much different I found out I had orders for a sleeping pill and took them up on the offer which means I slept for about 8 hours so far. They just came in to give me my pain pills and it is just about 5AM. Yesterday afternoon was a bit rough because I got a migraine that took two shots of imitrex to kill so I am really hoping that I can avoid this today. I also came down with a fever around 8PM and it just broke about an hour ago. It is a bit frustrating because my neighbor seems to be doing much better pain wise then I am and we had the same surgery. I am just trying to tell myself that we all heal differently and I was in so much pain and so tired before the surgery itself it may take me some extra time to get better. Although my neighbor and her visitors were a bit excessive over the last few days she is very kind everytime I get sick she calls the nurse for me and offers sympathies through the curtain. Today I am just hoping I can prove I am ready to go home tomorrow. Praying that Gad will give me patience because he knows what is best for me.
After I finish this post I am hoping I will be able to fall back to sleep.
TaTa for now...

Hospital Day #1

It is 2:30 in the morning and with all of the hospital noises along with a blood draw
it is hard to sleep. So I thought since I am awake and Kristin was nice enough to leave her computer I would do a brief blogpost.
Surgery went exactly as planned yesterday. We are so lucky to have such a big support system around. There have been quite a few times in the last 24 hours that I have felt all of your prayers.
Now the hard part comes and that is recovery. I had a really hard time with the pain meds last night and this morning for two reasons.
1- I am allergic to morphine however the medications they use in my pain pump are in the same family...so everytime I push the little button I am very itchy. No hives though yet so I am not complaining.
2- Everytime they tried to get food in my last night I would proceed to throw-up which was a bit frustrating.
I do have a roommate and although she is very noisy with visitors she called the nurse for me eachtime she heard me get sick. I was very thankful.
So we are now praying that I will just feel better by the hour and be able to get some rest while I am here.
Thanks again to all of you who are an extreme blessing to my little family.

Potty Progress......

The bathroom project is well underway with the floor tile in and grouted. We set the sink in there tonight just to see what it looked like. I think it is going to be really nice and it seems so much bigger. Tomorrow the projects include wall tile and sink installation. I am so proud of BJ he has done all the work himself after work at night and he is doing an awesome job, I am a very lucky lady!

Bathroom Remodel..Before Pics

The Project started just with doing some new storage space with the idea a of a total remodel later down the road. Well today Brian brought home the second set of cabinets he made and then promptly tore the midget vanity out. (If you have ever used the bathroom in our house and used the sink you probably found it to be made for small schoolchildren.) So after this we made a trip to Lowes and Home Depot to buy a new sink and tile for the floor and the wall behind the sink and toilet. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find 12x12 plain white tile. We have it now along with some glass accent tile and a new spiffy white pedestal sink. Notice the interesting wiring job done by previous owners I know you are jealous this is the kind of thing we usually run into in our 103 year old house.

Stay Tuned : This year you can expect to see plenty of remodel posts as we are also replacing our siding and adding on a dining room.

I love Valentines Day and Cupcakes!!

So I was so excited when Elliots room mom called and asked me to help with their Valentines Day party. I offered to make cupcakes. So I have been making cupcakes all day. They were a bit labor intensive with all of the little details but they are very cute if I do say so myself. I also bought these little cupcake boxes at Michaels which are not that green because I don't think you would want to reuse them however they are cute and easy.

Elliots Valentines

We have been working on our valentines the last couple of days and it has been a lot of fun. I love Valentines Day it is one of my favorite non-religious holidays. This year has been especially fun because Elliot could fill out his own Valentines. I am so proud of this little guy and the progress he is making with his letters he knows them all and he can write them all. I am positive that his hand writing is much neater than mine was at his age.

Missing tiny Barbie body...

We are offering up to a $3 dollar reward for the return of our tiny Barbie body. It is approximately 2 inches tall and is not presently dressed because all of her clothing is here. Her head is also here. Now you maybe laughing but as you can see Grace is not. If you or someone you know is holding our tiny Barbie body please return her ASAP and nobody gets hurt.

The Park....yeah

We got to make a trip to the park on Friday....yeah!! It was so nice out we decided to take a leisurely stroll to the park with Auntie Melly and Darby how much fun. It was the first time for Darby to be walking around the park and I think it made Grace pretty happy to have someone following her around. Elliot had a lot of fun too playing with an old friend from Fisher. Can't wait to have more nice days like this in the coming months.
