Halloween!

Today was a lot of fun. We started off the morning with some last minute shopping with Auntie Melly and Darby at Trader Joes. We came home and Elliot went on date with Bubba while Grace and I enjoyed a very posh lunch of mac and cheese and then retreated for a nap. When Grace woke up we got dressed up and headed off to one of our favorite trick or treating spots Christian Health Care Center. This was great this year the kids didn't seem nervous at all and they were very polite which makes me happy and we made others happy which is the ultimate goal when we go there. This year was also different because Lynden Manor opened their doors for trick or treating as well to anybody that was coming from CHCC oh boy was that amazing three floors of candy..WOW! We ended the evening sharing soup with some of our favorite family including our grandmas grans and grandpas, the Enertsons, Bubba, Kristin and Nana. The McDowells stopped by for crafts and doughnuts later on which was so much fun. I would say the kids had a blast and we had a blast. Good times had by all:)

Elliots School Pumpin Party

I was informed a week ago as room mom you plan the parties. So we had a pumpkin party on Wednesday in Elliots class. We made styrofoam spiders, decorated pumpkins, made some how pumpkins grow papers, and played pin the nose on the pumpkin. I think everyone had a lot of fun including me I love being Elliots mom.

Childrens Museum withthe McMurtrys

We went to the Childrens Museum with McM's on Tuesday. They have changed a little bit since we had been there last and that is always exciting. ELliot has a band aid on his head because another little angel threw a wooden salt shaker at his head. This was no little bump either. Well if you have been to any other kid event with me you know I don't do well with mean kids so I made the kid show me where his mom was and showed her the enormous goose egg on my childs head. Someday I am sure my kids will not appreciate this.

Our little hot dog

Some some would say this cruel and unusual treatment for our dog however she really doesn't mind the costume. She hasn't tried to get it off or anything. Isn't she cute!

Grace's Recital Dates

Just wanted to let everyone know that Graces Ballet recital will be on either the 12th or 13 of December. They have not announced what day the littlest ones will perform quite yet..but I will let you know when they do. They will have ticket sales before hand as well so I will try to let you know as soon as they go on sale I guess they do sell out. In fact I think they only give us two tickets but it will be totally worth to watch her running around in a little tutu.

A lost roll of film.

I found a random roll of film and developed it. On it were some super cute pictures of summer day on the front porch. I am not really sure what is up with the film it seems to be a bit overexposed. However I seem to like that????

New pictures of Grace.

I took some new pictures of Grace at Cornwall Park on Saturday. She wasn't really in the mood to say the least however I managed to get a few good ones.

Any Police fans

Here is Elliot putting on a concert. He thinks he is playing Roxanne a Police...interesting song choice I know it wasn't exactly purposeful that he learned this song however if he hears a song twice he knows it.

Elliots School Trip to Stoney Ridge

I know you probably are all done with looking at pictures of us with pumpkins...so am I! Our pumpkin season has been fun! This trip was with Elliots class and it was a lot of fun, I had a group of three kids to keep track of. I can remember being little and occasionally having my mom go on field trips I would be so excited that she was there. Elliot was excited as well. I think this was his final year going with school which means he is getting bigger. I have taken a picture of him every year of his life at stoney ridge and it is so fun to look back and see how much bigger he gets every year. I will post last years and we can compare together.

In the yard with the leaves

Elliot has learned to climb our trees in the front yard much to my dismay. All I can think about is BJ and Joey tree climbing stories which never have a happy ending but I am sure they had fun and so does Elliot.

McPhails our favorite pumpkin farm!

The kids and I went to McPhails today to get pumpkins. i always let each of the kids pick out one pumpkin to bring home. Usually they want to carry it themselves so they aren't very big. Well this year was different because Elliot went out on hunt and found a 27 pound pumpkin that he wasn't leaving without. Grace picked a small green one which is also what she did last year. So we came home with nearly 50 pounds of pumpkins. I am sure Brian will be excited to cut them open for seeing as I can not be trusted with that. Next year rules will change to you must be able to carry it to the wagon yourself:)
